Full-time work opportunities (post-study) & Hourly wage rates/Annual Median Salary

Overseas students who want to work in Vietnam after finishing their master's degree must first get a job offer. Post Student visa: Full Time Work Visa (H1B)

Post-study work permits (duration, type, what can you do with the help of such visa)

Foreign nationals who wish to work lawfully in Vietnam must get a Vietnam Work Visa in addition to a Work Permit. To obtain a Vietnam Work Visa, you must apply at a Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Your employer must sponsor your Vietnam Work Visa application, either before or after they apply for the Work Permit. You may also be able to obtain a visa on arrival in Vietnam at certain airports.

You are qualified for a Vietnam Work Visa provided you meet the following requirements:

  • You need to become 18 years or older.

  • You have no prior or current criminal offenses.

  • You have the requisite academic and professional credentials to complete the role.

  • You have at least three years of experience as an executive-level or above employee.

  • You have a job offer from a firm in Vietnam.

 

A Vietnam Work Visa can be awarded for one month, three months, six months, or a year, with single or multiple entries.

 

Permanent Residency options

A permanent residency card (PRC) is a document issued by immigration officials to foreigners who are permitted to permanently remain in Vietnam and has a validity period that is longer than that of a visa.

 

Condition for permanent residence card application

  • Legal residents of foreign nationals

  • Immigrants who have lived in Vietnam for at least three years.

  • Immigrants with steady earnings can make a life in Vietnam.

  • Immigrants who are funded by their parents, spouses, or children who are Vietnamese citizens and live in Vietnam permanently.

 

Entry, exit and residence administration will consider and decide in a period of 4 months from receiving a complete valid record. In this case, is it necessary to clarify additional verification, considering time will be extended but not more than 2 months.
