Post Student visa: Full Time Work Visa

Permanent Residency options

Mauritian Diaspora Scheme registration

Non-citizens who have registered with the Mauritian Diaspora Scheme are eligible for a Permanent Residence Permit.

The Permanent Residence Permit is available to foreign nationals who have invested at least USD 375,000 in a qualified activity.

An Occupation Permit Holder

A holder of an Occupational Permit may apply for a Permanent Residence Permit once three consecutive years have passed within the Occupation Permit tenure of ten years, subject to the following conditions:

• Investor: The firm's turnover surpassed a cumulative sum of MUR 45 million in respect of each shareholder of the company for any consecutive period of three years.

• Professional: A monthly basic wage of at least MUR 150,000 is required for three consecutive years prior to applying for a Permanent Residence Permit.

• Self-Employed: The applicant's business income must be at least MUR 3 million per year for the three consecutive years before the submission request for a Permanent Resident Permit

A Work Permit Holder

Any non-citizen with a valid work visa in Mauritius may apply for a Permanent Residence Permit provided he or she has earned at least MUR 150,000 in the three years preceding the submission of a request for a Permanent Resident Permit
