Eligibility Criteria (standardized tests to be taken)

Visa types (student)

Visa requirements may differ depending on your nationality. If you've been accepted to study abroad at a university in the Czech Republic, you should find out ahead of time whether you'll need a visa to do so.

Post Student visa: Full Time Work Visa (H1B)

For stays of more than 90 days, students must apply for a long-term visa. If you want to study abroad for more than a year, you need to apply for a long-term residency permit for study reasons.

Post-study work permits (duration, type, what can you do with the help of such visa)

The time it takes to receive a Visa Issuance Letter (Work Permit) ranges from 4-6 weeks. We will send the Visa Issuance Letter to you through courier after it has been issued. In addition, you must apply for a visa at the Czech Embassy in your country. The Embassy will give you a "3 month"  Visa Type C / multiple entry, which is renewable for 3 months, 1 year, or 2 years.

Permanent Residency options

A foreign citizen may apply for permanent residency after 5 years of continuous residence in the Czech Republic.

You can apply for a permanent residency permit at the MOI office where you are registered. The application must be handed in in person.

You can apply for citizenship through naturalization if you have maintained a permanent residency permit for at least 5 years and have spent the majority of that time in the Czech Republic. Unless you are a Slovak citizen, you must pass a Czech language test.
